Melissa Lanman, CPNP - PC

Melissa Lanman, CPNP-PC, graduated from the University of Virginia in 2017 with her BSN. She lived and worked in Charlottesville, working as an inpatient Pediatric RN at UVA Medical Center for 7 years, while also returning to UVA as a graduate student in 2021. She completed her clinical hours at Preferred Pediatrics, working with Bridget Stoddard as a student NP, and then graduated in May of 2024 with her MSN and accepted a job at Preferred Pediatrics. She is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is excited to start seeing patients!

Melissa is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). She is excited to work as a team with the other providers here to care for the children and families in our community, and wants parents to know that she will treat your kids like one of her own! When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two little girls.

Fun fact: Melissa walked the graduation stage with her baby girl (2 weeks old at the time) strapped to her chest!
